California Privacy Statement

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. About this statement

This California Privacy Statement supplements the Northline Distribution Privacy Policy and applies to personal information relating to California residents.

Our Privacy Policy explains our broader practices concerning the collection, use, disclosure, retention and protection of personal information. This Statement provides additional information and privacy choices relevant under applicable California privacy law.

Northline Distribution OÜ is registered in Estonia under registry code 17528403. Our registered office is Tornimäe tn 5, 10145 Tallinn, Estonia.

The availability of a particular privacy right depends on the California law that applies to Northline Distribution and the circumstances of the request.

2. Notice at collection

During the preceding 12 months, Northline Distribution collected the following categories of personal information, depending on how a person interacted with us.

Identifiers

This may include your name, business email address, telephone number, company name, website address, IP address, visitor or session identifiers, and similar online identifiers.

We use this information to respond to enquiries, communicate with business contacts, maintain business records, operate our website and protect its security. Online identifiers may be disclosed to analytics or advertising providers where the relevant technologies are enabled.

We retain this information while an enquiry, order or business relationship remains active, and afterwards where needed for legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution or legitimate business purposes.

Personal information described in the California Customer Records law

This may include your name, telephone number, business contact information and transaction-related information.

We use this information to manage enquiries, quotations, orders and business relationships. We do not sell this information. It is generally not shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We retain it according to the status of the enquiry or transaction and applicable accounting, contractual and legal requirements.

Commercial information

This may include products you are interested in, requested volumes, quote requests, transaction records, order information and enquiry history.

We use this information to assess business enquiries, prepare quotations, administer orders and provide commercial support. We do not sell this information. Limited campaign or conversion-measurement information may be shared where advertising measurement is enabled.

We retain it while the enquiry or commercial relationship remains active and afterwards where needed for accounting, legal, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

Internet or other electronic-network activity

This may include the pages you visit, referring page, traffic source, session duration, browser, operating system, device information, cookies and website events.

We use this information to operate and secure our website, measure website and marketing performance, attribute enquiries and improve website functionality. We do not sell this information. It may be disclosed to analytics, attribution or advertising providers where the relevant technologies are enabled.

We retain it according to cookie duration, provider configuration, security needs and the period reasonably needed for analytics and attribution.

Approximate geolocation data

Where available, we may derive your city, country, time zone or approximate location from your IP address. We use this information for regional support, website security, analytics, attribution and fulfilment. It is not sold, but may be disclosed to analytics or advertising providers where the relevant technologies are enabled.

We retain it according to the related enquiry or transaction, cookie duration, provider configuration or security purpose.

Professional or business-related information

This may include your business name, buyer type, commercial requirements and relationship with a business.

We use this information to understand the business purpose of an enquiry and assess its commercial requirements. We do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We retain it while the enquiry or business relationship remains active and afterwards where reasonably needed for records, legal obligations or dispute resolution.

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information through our business enquiry forms. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about California residents.

3. Sources of personal information

We collect personal information from:

  • You, when you submit an enquiry or communicate with us
  • Your interactions with the Northline Distribution website.
  • Cookies and similar technologies.
  • Referral, analytics, advertising and campaign sources.
  • Your business or its authorised representatives.
  • Logistics, fulfilment and delivery providers, where relevant to a requested service.
  • Providers supporting our website, communications, security and business operations.
  • Publicly available business sources, where legally permitted.

More information about cookies and similar technologies is available in our Privacy Policy.

4. Disclosures during the preceding 12 months

During the preceding 12 months, Northline Distribution disclosed personal information for business purposes to service providers, contractors and other recipients supporting our operations.

These disclosures may have included:

  • Identifiers and business contact information disclosed to communications, hosting, website and customer-support providers.
  • Commercial and transaction information disclosed to suppliers, fulfilment providers and professional advisers where needed to respond to enquiries or provide a requested service.
  • Internet activity, online identifiers and approximate geolocation disclosed to hosting, security, analytics, attribution and advertising providers where relevant technologies are enabled.
  • Delivery and fulfilment information disclosed to logistics and delivery providers.

We may also disclose relevant information to regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where required by law.

We do not routinely disclose business enquiries to unrelated third parties. If an enquiry needs to be referred to a distributor, agent or business partner, we limit the disclosure to what is appropriate for that business purpose.

5. Sale and sharing of personal information

Northline Distribution has not sold personal information, as “sale” is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, during the preceding 12 months.

During the preceding 12 months, where analytics, attribution, conversion-measurement or advertising technologies were enabled, Northline Distribution shared the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers and online identifiers.
  • Internet or other electronic-network activity.
  • Approximate geolocation information.

These categories were shared with analytics, attribution and advertising providers for purposes including campaign measurement, conversion attribution, website analytics and cross-context behavioral advertising, where applicable.

Northline Distribution does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.

6. Opting out of sale or sharing

California residents may request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information by:

Where applicable, we honour a recognised Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device that sends it.

You do not need to create an account to submit an opt-out request. We use information submitted for an opt-out request to process and maintain a record of that request.

Northline Distribution does not sell personal information. An opt-out request therefore primarily concerns website disclosures that California law may classify as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. California privacy rights

Where applicable California law grants these rights, a California resident may request:

  • Access to the categories of personal information collected about them.
  • Access to specific pieces of personal information collected about them.
  • Information about the sources from which personal information was collected.
  • Information about the purposes for collecting, using, selling or sharing personal information.
  • Information about the categories of recipients to whom personal information was disclosed, sold or shared.
  • Correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.
  • To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • To limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Non-discriminatory treatment for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We may retain information where necessary to complete or administer a transaction, maintain legally required records, detect or prevent fraud and security incidents, protect legal rights, resolve disputes, comply with contractual or legal obligations, or exercise another exception permitted by law.

8. Submitting a privacy request

California privacy requests may be submitted to:

sales@northlinedistribution.com

Please include your name, business email address, business name where applicable, the privacy right you wish to exercise, and information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant records. You may also identify the period covered by your request, where relevant.

Please do not send identity documents, bank information, passwords or other sensitive information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure method.

9. Verification and response process

Before completing certain requests, we may verify that the requester is the person to whom the personal information relates.

Verification may involve matching information provided in the request with information we already maintain, such as your name, business email address, business name, contact information or details concerning a recent enquiry or communication.

We use information collected for verification only to verify the request, protect security, prevent fraud and comply with applicable law.

If we cannot reasonably verify a request, we may be unable to disclose specific information or complete the request. We will explain our decision where required.

Where the CCPA applies, we generally confirm receipt of requests to know, delete or correct within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If an extension is reasonably necessary and legally permitted, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 calendar days and will notify you. Requests to opt out of sale or sharing are processed within the period required by law.

We generally do not charge a fee. Where permitted by law, we may refuse or charge a reasonable fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive.

10. Authorised agents

A California resident may appoint an authorised agent to submit a privacy request on their behalf.

We may require evidence that the resident authorised the agent, verification of the resident’s identity, or direct confirmation from the resident that the agent has permission to submit the request. Different requirements may apply where the authorised agent holds a legally valid power of attorney.

11. Non-discrimination

We will not unlawfully discriminate against a California resident for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We may be unable to provide a requested service where information the resident asks us to delete or stop processing is reasonably necessary to provide that service, complete a business transaction or comply with the law.

12. Privacy-request records

Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, Northline Distribution retains records of California privacy requests and our responses for at least 24 months.

These records are used for compliance, security, internal process review and other legally permitted purposes.

13. Changes to this statement

We may update this California Privacy Statement when our processing practices, technologies, services or legal obligations change.

The updated Statement will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
